All members who have provided an e-mail address should have received a copy of the Christmas special edition of the newsletter which includes details of changes to the normal pattern of meetings over the festive season:
1.       There is no meeting of SWS on Boxing Day, 26th December.
2.       The Xmas meeting is on Thursday 27th December, starting at 12.30ish
3.       There will not be a meeting of SWS on 9th January 2019.

All members who have provided an e-mail address should have received a copy of the latest newsletter which includes the  minutes of the AGM, a copy of the amended constitution, the minutes of the committee meeting held on 28th November, an up to date copy of “Information for Potential Members” and an up to date copy of the Data Protection Policy.

The AGM will be in the Snooker Room at Woodseats Working Men's Club, starting at 7.30pm on Wednesday 21st November 2018.

All members who have provided an e-mail address should have received their copy of The Terrain Cupboard Door Vol. II No. 11, which includes the minutes of the committee meetings held on 3rd October and 31st October and an up to date copy of the paper “Sheffield Wargames Society - Committee Roles” for the benefit of anyone considering standing for the committee at the AGM, which will be held at 7.30pm on 21st November 2018 in the Snooker Room at Woodseats WMC.

Change in AGM Date and Bring and Buy Reminder

1.       There will be a boxing match in the function room at Woodseats WMC on 21^st November. The committee have agreed that the AGM will be held in the snooker room on that date and not on 14^th November as previously advertised. This allows an extra week to prepare the agenda, so please let me have a note of any items you would like including in the agenda by 7^th November.

2.       Next week, 10^th October, is a bring and buy day.

Sheffield Wargames Society Bring and Buy Day - 10/10/2018

Sheffield Wargames Society is holding a bring and buy day as part of its meeting on Wednesday 10th October 2018 from 7.00pm at Woodseats Working Men’s Club, The Dale, Sheffield, S8 0PS.

Visitors from other groups in the area would be most welcome.

For those who want to sell six foot tables are available for £5 (SWS members pay £1 but are asked to contribute an additional 10% of their takings).

Goods should be labelled clearly with details of price and vendor. Sellers may either man their table or rely on the honesty of purchasers.

Notice of EGM

An Extraordinary General Meeting of Sheffield Wargames Society will be held at 7.30pm on Wednesday 13th June at Woodseats WMC to discuss and decide if the club should relocate to the “Old Club”  on Ecclesall Road, formerly the Polish Catholic Club.

 

All members are entitled to attend and speak, but provisional members are not able to vote.

SWS Meeting 21st March 2018
