2017 Committee

The AGM was held as planned on 23 November.

Minutes will be circulated to members by email within the next few days.

The new Committee is as follows:

Chairman - Tim Gow

Secretary - John Armatys

Treasurer - Graham Northing

Show Secretary - Pete Scholey

Publicity Officer - Cy Harrison

A brief committee meeting was held immediately after the AGM.

The membership fee for the coming year remains at £15.00 and should be paid to the Treasurer by 31 December 2016.

2016 AGM

Members are reminded that the Annual General Meeting will take place at 7.30pm on Wednesday 23 November 2016.

Please bring your membership card to prove your entitlement to vote.

The Chairman will sadly be absent that evening - the meeting will elect a Chairman to run the meeting - so please let Tim Gow have any matters for the agenda well in advance of the meeting.

The club is settling well into out new 'home'. (See previous post for the details). Last night I counted 29 attendees and seven games in progress. That said, we've plenty of room for more games, so feel free to come along.

New SWS venue!

 As from this week, SWS now meets at:
Woodseats Working Men's Club, The Dale, Woodseats, Sheffield, S8 0PS

The new venue has a bar, parking, terrain storage and an enormous hall!  I measured the available playing area at roughly 22 by 73 feet!

Though we we at the previous venue for a long time - nearly 30 years - I think this will be a good move for the club.

 On Wednesday we had 22 players and five games in progress.
